Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Lenco Software

Nio Security, Inc. has today signed strategic cooperation agreement with Lenco Software AS, a provider of advanced, interactive command and control solutions to the defence sector.

Nio will have an exclusive right to sell OEM versions of Lenco’s CODS software adapted to the civilian market under Nio’s brand through its certified dealer network, while Lenco will sell Nio’s advanced video surveillance products to the defence sector.

This takes Nio into the software business segment in the surveillance industry and Nio can now provide leading IT solutions to the control room in large surveillance systems, thereby strengthening Nio’s position with its customers and driving business volume.

On July 11 Nio Security Inc and Lenco Software AS (a Norwegian company based in Oslo) signed a strategic cooperation agreement where Lenco will sell Nio’s advanced video surveillance products to the defence sector while Nio will have an exclusive right to sell OEM versions of Lenco’s CODS software adapted to the civilian market under Nio’s brand through its certified dealer network.

Under the agreement Lenco will continue to focus on the defence sector and sell Nio’s advanced video surveillance products in addition to its CODS multi-sensor command and control products that are adopted by several NATO countries.

The agreement gives Nio access to leading 3D visualisation and navigation software for maps and satellite images in conjunction with a sophisticated alarm- and event management system. The CODS product will enable Nio to provide control room solutions which leverages Nio’s autotracking EyeMax video cameras and Tempest networked digital video recording devices. This will strengthen Nio’s position with its customers and open up software sales while leveraging the existing portfolio of video surveillance products.

By combining Lenco’s strong defence presence with Nio’s advanced video surveillance products and global distribution network the companies expect to help drive each others business significantly. Based on success, the two companies will evaluate even closer forms of cooperation in the future.
